Awaken & Explore the Visual Arts Ages: 8-11 Our art class is designed to inspire imagination, foster self-expression, and nurture a love for the arts. Led by experienced instructors who are passionate about teaching, this program offers a wide range of activities and techniques that will allow your child to experiment with various art forms. They will have the chance to explore different mediums and awaken their own unique artistic style. Don’t let this opportunity pass by! Secure your child’s spot in our last-minute art class today. Class Schedule: Session 1- May 18th: Title: Exploring Lines and Shapes Description: Students will learn the basics of drawing, focusing on lines and shapes. They will practice different types of lines and create simple shapes. The class will also cover shading techniques to add dimension to their drawings. Session 2 - May 25th: Title: Still Life Drawing Description: Students will explore still life drawing by setting up a composition of objects. They will learn how to observe and replicate the objects accurately, paying attention to proportion, light, and shadow. Emphasis will be placed on developing their observational skills. Session 3 - June 1st: Title: Exploring Colors: Color Mixing and Basic Techniques Description: In this class, students will delve into the world of colors and learn the fundamentals of color theory. They will explore color mixing using primary colors and practice creating a range of secondary and tertiary colors. The class will cover basic painting techniques suitable for beginners-intermediate, such as wet-on-wet, dry brush, and more. This class aims to provide a solid foundation in color theory and painting techniques, allowing students to express themselves creatively through color. Session 4 - June 8th: Title: Personal Art Project Description: In this final class, students will have the opportunity to work on a personal art project of their choice. They will apply the techniques and skills learned throughout the previous weeks and receive individual guidance and feedback.
